Lessons that I have come to learn(phew) at the age of thirty. If only I could go back in time and share it with my younger self, could have spared myself of so much crap, anyhow its part of the process. Now that I look back, perhaps not all the advice was unsolicited.
- Don't cry over unemployed men
- Save, save and save, will need it in rainy times
- Adopt minimalism as a lifestyle
- Read, read and read, after all you are the content you consume
- Have a hobby, not something that makes money, just a pure simple hobby
- Invest in experiences and not things
- Keep your tribe small and tight (Don't fuck around)
- Always chose love
- Stop chasing fuck boys
- Stop being a fuck girl, yeah I said it
- There is absolutely no glory in being selfless
- Stop believeing that you are bad with numbers. Make friends with mathematics
- You can know a lot from someones handshake, if it doesn't feel right, it probably isn't.
- Learn to listen and trust your gut. Trust me it never lies
- Seek therapy, be vocal about mental health issues
- Find a mentor
- Do a privilege check
- Don't fuck every boy you meet, make guy friends, its super chill
- Have a girl tribe, support your sisters! #Sistersovermisters
- Live outside of home at least once in your life
- Be disciplined, consistency is key. You’ll be surprised how far it’ll take you
- Be authentic with yourself first
- Have a vision, goals and plans but be flexible of your ways
- Its lonely at the top
- Have a morning routine, let your rising be grand
- Time is money
- Gotta hustle, thats where the synergy is
- Stay connected to your roots
- You ALWAYS have a choice
- Be grateful!
